Panel Discussions

The Convergence of Everything

Tuesday, May 5, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

One of the hottest tech topics of the past couple of years is the Internet of Things (IoT), also known as the Internet of Everything, the Industrial Internet, Machine-to-machine communications, etc. The importance of this new technological development is undeniable.  Some projections estimate that the cumulative economic impact associated with adding intelligence to all kinds of everyday consumer and industrial objects will be $19 trillion by 2020.

The opening plenary session of TIF 2015 will discuss this timely topic by providing an overview of the Internet of Things and then engage representatives of companies involved in the various aspects of IoT from sensor devices to component chips to data analytics to interoperable software. We expect a highly-engaging and informative panel discussion that will set the tone for the entire conference.
